On Monday, the tribunal heard communication data and information recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most covered missing child cases and is still unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One phone message, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I believe."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I'm her? Then what? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a living here in Poland, I just want to understand," the message continued.

The panel was informed that by means of emails, text messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a attempt to show a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who compiled the data, told the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On 9 October 2024, Mr McCann answered a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will continue and I plan to establish my position."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg established a association online with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' residence in that area in that winter.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had reached out via communication app to Mrs McCann to say the press had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the period preceding the visit to that location, that area, in December 2024.

The court was told communications between the two accused, in last November, considering trying to acquire Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We need to make a stand," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their residence, Mrs Spragg sent a communication which said: "We find ourselves positioned outside the McCanns' home with our lights out similar to investigators. I wanted to do this with someone else I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The trial continues.
